At baked by Jaz, every cake is handmade with care and attention to detail. To ensure your cake looks and tastes at its best please follow these guidelines below. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the cake, for which Baked by Jaz cannot accept responsibility.
1. Transportation
always transport your cake flat in the boot of your car, never on a seat or someones lap.
keep the cake box secure and level during transport
drive carefully and avoid sudden stops or sharp turns
keep your car cool and have the air con on
2. storage
Store cakes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not place cakes near radiators, ovens, or in warm environments. Buttercream and ganache cakes should be kept in the fridge, but allow at least 1–2 hours at room temperature before serving for best taste and texture. Fondant-covered cakes should not be stored in the fridge, as condensation can cause colours to run and decorations to soften. Display If displaying your cake at an event, keep it indoors in a cool, shaded area. Avoid placing cakes near windows, heaters, or outside in hot or humid weather. Once the cake is set up and handed over, Baked by Jaz is not responsible for any damage caused by mishandling, incorrect storage, or environmental conditions. Shelf Life Cakes are best enjoyed on the day of collection or delivery. They will remain fresh for up to 3–4 days if stored correctly. Leftover cake should be kept in an airtight container. Allergens Please be aware that while every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, all cakes are prepared in a kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soya.
